In a Nutshell
A classic Wild Turkey spicy kick but mellower than the 101; perfect whiskey for mixin' & sippin'.
A classic Wild Turkey spicy kick but mellower than the 101. This shows bold spice and fruity notes, followed by almonds, honey and blackberries.
A blend of of 6-8-year old bourbon whiskies, and bottled at 81 proof (40.5% alcohol) Using highest quality US grown grain and pure water drawn from layers of ancient limestone, the head Distiller uses a mash bill that is high in rye, mixed with corn and barley, and ferments it using the distillery's own proprietary strain of yeast. It's distilled to a lower proof than most to insure a big flavoured spirit. In Kentucky’s cold winters and warm summers spirits mature more quickly and improve in quality. Ageing take place in specially selected new white oak #4 alligator char barrels. These have the heaviest (and most expensive) deep-layer char, which it's said, gives Wild Turkey whiskies extra depth of flavour and a deep auburn colour. Wild Turkey is distilled at a lower proof which means there's very little water added when the whiskies leave the warehouse.
The Wild Turkey brand was first introduced in 1940, however the distillery can trace its roots back to 1869 when the Ripy brothers opened their family distillery on Wild Turkey Hill in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky.
