El Dorado 12 Year Old is produced strictly from local Demerara sugar cane, grown on the banks of the Demerara river and is aged in small American oak casks for a minimum of twelve years before being blended to perfection by the master blender. The rums are left to marry for at least three months ensuring a rich development of flavours with impressive complexity A 12yo rum is presented in a bottle honouring the flasks discarded by Dutch sailors and then used Guyanan sugar planters as a vessel to hold their early rums. A blend of spirit from 3 stills, a wooden Enmore two-column, a French Savalle four-column and a unique Port Mourant double wooden pot still.
