Who we are

We are The Bottle Bank Limited and we are committed to maintaining the trust of our customers and visitors to our website.

We are not in the business of buying or selling email lists with other companies for marketing purposes.

This privacy policy will provide detailed information about how, when and why we collect your personal information, how we use it and the limited conditions under which we may disclose it to others.

Types of data we collect

Website cookies

Like most websites, we use cookies to collect information and ensure our website runs smoothly for its visitors.  Cookies are used for technical reasons to allow our online shop to work correctly.  We also use cookies to anonomously track how users interact with our site in order for us to make improvements. For this we use Google Analytics.

Google Analytics

We use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.

Mailing lists

If you choose to register for our email newsletter, we collect personal information. We use that information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about things you’ve asked us to tell you about; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are right and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. We don’t rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses. We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails or by emailing

Who we share information with

There are times when we may pass your information on to other people – we only do this when necessary for the completion of sales. We will pass your name, address, telephone number and email address to our couriers (if you are having your order delivered). This is so they can send your order and update you on tracking information or keep you informed of any issues which may arise with your delivery.

Information may also be passed to our payment providers to allow them to process your payment and on occasion to help them prevent fraud.

Access to your personal information

You are entitled to view, amend, or delete the personal information that we hold.
